Statistically, it has been proven that crime rates drop and community support increases in areas where sociable, controlled, well trained police service dogs are deployed.

    NARCOTIC DETECTION K-9
    ~K-9 from the sporting breed category unless otherwise specified

    All narcotic detection dogs are trained to respond to the odor of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and opium. Detection dogs can be trained to "indicate" either with an aggressive or passive response. Additional controlled substances can be trained upon request.

    EXPLOSIVE DETECTION K-9
    ~K-9 from the sporting breed category unless otherwise specified

    All explosive detection dogs are trained to indicate to all of the common explosive odors and are trained via a "passive"response. The six week explosive K-9 detection program is designed to be rigorous and demanding of both handler and canine.

    SERVICE CANINE COMPANION

    MAKOR K-9 is proud to offer, on an exclusive basis, Service Canine Companion (SCC) training and title. The certified Service Canine Companion dog course is a modified version of our standard patrol K-9 training course. This course was specifically designed for medical and hospital facilities where security for patients and staff is at issue. MAKOR K-9 designed this course to specially address the needs and situations in those enforcement settings where the ordinary deployment and use of a patrol dog may be impracticable. The Service Canine Companion dog team is also intended to be able to interact with patients of all ages for "animal therapy" benefits. Also, if requested, dual purpose training in the areas of explosives or narcotics is available.

    PERSONAL AND EXECUTIVE PROTECTION K-9

    MAKOR K-9 believes that the home or executive protection dog should be based in soundness of temperament, be sociable in a wide variety of circumstances, yet when necessary be bold and courageous in action. Although the primary purpose of a personal or executive protection K-9 is to act as a deterrent, our expertly and highly trained dogs will respond on command to the needs of the handler with a precise, quick and powerful response in those situations where it is warranted. Rest assured, our dogs selected for this program are meant to become an integral part of the "family unit" with unsurpassed loyalty and devotion. If desired, MAKOR K-9 can augment the purchase of a personal or executive protection K-9 with knowledgeable and expert security consulting.

    MAINTENANCE TRAINING

    Regardless of where you acquired your dog, MAKOR K-9 offers a wide range of cost effective, innovative, intense, and stimulating maintenance programs covering all aspects of police patrol and detection K-9 training, as well as personal and executive protection canine training. Individual programs can be tailored for the clients specific goal(s) and will vary in length of time. All MAKOR K-9 maintenance programs are designed to maximize the working potential of every dog, regardless of the dogs current level of training. All maintenance programs are on-going and continuous enrollment is available.
